Wow. You get a lot for the money here. I had three servings from one dish. Prices are very good. I ordered bourbon chichekn, sweet plantains, and yellow rice for $6. The guy packed it in! No lie, he gave me about 20 plantains. I prefer Green Lake to all the chinese take out places in this area. Don't go for anything too special, just stick with the basics and you'll be fine. Order something with not a lot of sauce. Of course their pad thai will suck, look where this joint is!!

I ordered food from Green Lake through Seamless with a 45-60 minute wait. Once I realized the food wasn't here and it had been 1 1/2 hours. I called and they said "sorry we're so busy tonight"...........................c'mon it's a Monday......not a weekend or a Holiday..........I live just around the corner.....if I knew it would take this long I'd have put on some shoes and saved a tip..........................crazy ...........................in the time it took me write this the food is still not here..............1 hour and 45 minutes later.......

It's taken me years, but I've finally, finally done it.At last, I've found better-than-average wonton soup in my neighborhood. FINALLY.Now, I'm a fan of old-school Cantonese-American Chinese cooking. Having grown up with two parents who loved it an ordered it frequently, it's got a dear place in my heart. I don't give a crap about "authentic," but I have certain things that I need to scratch an itch. The broth must be golden. Not brown, not clear. The wontons should be filled with pork (not shrimp!) and chewy. There should be small bits of pork in the soup, and while I prefer bok choy, I'll accept scallions. This place gets it right. The wontons are filled with bok choy and a bit of ginger, and delicious (also good fried). My one and only gripe is that they don't have chow fun (wide noodles) on the menu. They do have excellent Chow Mei Fun, though. I also can't say enough good about the fried rice. I have my favorites, but the food has been consistently good here.If you want thai food, call a THAI restaurant. Really. (Thai Tony's delivers in the same neighborhood. Am Thai also. Come on now.) But, if you want good, old-school NYC Chinese delivery, this is where you want to call. (Or, they're also on Seamless and Grubhub, which is why they always hear from me.)

I was craving for Pad Thai one night, and my boyfriend ordered delivery from here through GrubHub. Ordered a large beef pad thai and a drink. What I didn't like was the fact that it took an hour to get my food. Not only that, the pad thai tasted horrible. Dry spicy noodles with thick cubes of carrots sprinkled all over, packed in a small white container. What is that? Carrots, really? Such a waste. Never ordering from here again.

Okay, I knew better. I never ever ever order Brooklyn Chinese. Ever. There's something about the quality of the food that is considerably worse than Manhattan Chinese. Buut, there aren't many options to order out, so I ordered Broccoli with garlic sauce and Pad thai....yeah.The broccoli was almost inedible, it was about 20 minutes from going bad and the "garlic sauce" was really sweet. It wasn't good. I was hungry, so I ate it. The pad thai was huge and so packed in it was hard to take apart. It was meh. Lesson learned. I really miss Wok N Roll further up Flatbush!Basic Chinese. If you have no taste buds on your tongue, than you'll like this place.

Pretty much a perfect neighborhood chinese carryout restaurant. Good enough to feed to house guests. Crispy eggrolls where the cabbage still has crunch. A dependable Tso's with chunks of white meat chicken. When I order the "healthy steamed" mixred veggies with just shrimp and peanut sauce on the side - they have a few thai entrees on the menu -the veggies are crisp and tasty, a handful of decent sized shrimp, and they handle the special order with no problem.I can also recommend the wonton soup that has too many delicious wontons and the chicken with black bean sauce, Guests have enjoyed the dumplings and the cheese wontons, so decadent. The fried rice has nice pork chunks but no egg, peas, sprouts so not great, and the pad thai is not as successful as veggies with peanut sauce. We have had a total miss n the fantail fried shrimp which arrived as 4 big hard greasy squares of fried dough with a little shrimp tail peeking out., and they do use that ubiquitous in cheap chinese weird flat pressed chicken steak-umm strips in some of the entreesTheir prices are cheap. Portions are huge, a small will leave plenty for lunch tomorrow and a large will feed 2 or 3. Delivery is prompt. Picking up you get to share in the drama of the kithchen which always seems to be running on overdrive. They recently redecorated the seating area but you might still find delivery bikes parked inside

I don't get the hate. Food is totally solid Chinese take out, not mind blowing, but certainly better than most others. Thai food is mediocre but at six dollars for pad Thai, satisfying enough

we've ordered from here several times and have figured out what/not to order etc. it's been mediocre but works in a pinch. then we ordered this weekend and got the udon noodles, moo shu and chicken with green beans. again, fine, nothing special. then we ate the leftovers and my husband bit down on something hard. thinking it might be a bone, he pulled it out to discover it was a nail. not a finger nail, but a tetanus kind of nail. thankfully he didn't cut/puncture himself but i don't think we'll be ordering from them anymore.

ordered online and they could not find my apartment building. After an hour and a half I called about the order and they told me they had called, which they had not and then the food arrived cold and they did not offer so much as a sorry it was that the directions were not clear and they couldn't find the apartment building. I did not give directions and if they can't find an apartment building on a block with all two story houses and one big apartment building they have other issues than poor service.

This is some of the best Chinese food I have found in Brooklyn. The food doesnt taste like it just drowned in oil and sauces! Its really good. I love the lunch specials $5.75 for lunch and a drink before 4pm. I can also substitute items for other items and they dont make a big fuss! Nice guys also, respectful.
